Happy New Years Eve!!
New Years....a time for fun, family, friends, and resolutions!! To celebrate New Years Eve, Chuck, Hannah and I are going to the Indiana Ice Hockey Game. Chuck and I used to go to the Ice games all the time so I am really looking forward to taking Hannah. This is not Hannah's first hockey game, she has been to a few of her dad's beer league games and we also went to a Bluejackets game over Thanksgiving.Since it is New Years Eve, the eve of the new year I feel obligated to get a few pictures and stories posted that I have been slacking on since our move. During our move I misplaced the cord that connects our camera to our computer therefore I have not been able to post any of our pictures from Thanksgiving, Santa Claus, Christmas at the Zoo and Christmas!! So here is a summary and TONS of pictures (disclaimer...on my list of things to get is photoshop so some of the pictures need some work!)
Snow Day....
Well the snow came two days late so we didn't have a white Christmas, but it did come and Rudy, Hannah and I did enjoy it!!!

Presents....
This was the first Christmas that things had to be put together.
Grandma Dodge got this awesome kitchen put together.
Chuck got motivated and put together Christmas presents, oh and leftover birthday presents.
I think she likes her rocking chair!
I really don't want Christmas vacation to end.

Merry Christmas
Well, it wasn't Hannah's first Christmas but it was the first Christmas she could "ooh" and "aaah" at lights and presents and we did alot of that today! Today was a wonderful relaxing day spent in Cincinnati at my moms. Hannah had a blast but still doesn't really understand Christmas....that did not stop Santa! We have lots of great pics that I will post later but for now......Merry Christmas!

Saying goodbye....
I posted the other day about selling our home....as happy as it makes me to move on and into hopefully a bigger house, it was very sad to leave our Broad Ripple home. It was our first home, it was the home we came home to after we got married and it was the home we brought Hannah home to after leaving the hospital, where she took her first steps and had her first birthday.... So many happy memories there! Chuck was the last one to leave the house after getting all of our things out of it and he was nice enough to take a few photos with his phone for me....
Christmas at the zoo...
So tonight we all rushed home from work and daycare because it was 50 degrees which meant a perfect December night for the zoo!

Moving on...
Well, I haven't blogged in a while, but I have a really good excuse. I am going to start from the beginning...
September 2nd Chuck and I put our home up "For Sale By Owner", probably not the easiest thing to do with a 1 year old but we realized that we were quickly out growing our wonderful (but small!!) Broad Ripple home and by next year we would really want a bigger one. So we figured, put it up on our own, hopefully get some great feedback on things to work on over the winter then put it up with a realtor in the spring and if it sells now that would just be a bonus. Well, 7 week later, it sold!!! We had less than 30 days to pack up our home that we had been in for 5 years and move out.
We really hadn't expected our house to sell therefore we hadn't even begun to look for a new house. So with Hannah's first birthday and Thanksgiving fast approaching we talked to Chuck's parents and they agreed to let us takeover their home for a bit!
So....that is what we have done...Monday Novemeber 30th we officially became homeless, Chuck, Hannah and I loaded up the truck with our bedrooms to take to Chuck's parents and then we loaded up the truck a second (and third) time for storage. It's been 10 days, we are still not settled and I still cannot find everything(the main reason for no pictures...need the cord to attached the camera and computer...wonder where that is!?!?), but we are very thankful to have a great place to stay while we are homeless and Hannah is having a blast with 2 doggies and grandparents around all the time!
Happy Turkey Day!
We spent a great Turkey Day with the Dodge side of the family....Judy, Russ, Stephanie, Dave, Amy and of course Rudy and Roxy. Then Chuck and I piled in the car early Friday morning to head to Columbus and enjoy the Spencer side of the family. It is never a dull moment with either of these crews and Hannah was exhausted by the time the fun holiday weekend was over. It was so great to see everyone, I just wish we could do it more often!
I need more pictures from all the fun so if you have them please send them my way! Posted by Kim: comments
