    Happy New Years Eve!!

New Years....a time for fun, family, friends, and resolutions!! To celebrate New Years Eve, Chuck, Hannah and I are going to the Indiana Ice Hockey Game. Chuck and I used to go to the Ice games all the time so I am really looking forward to taking Hannah. This is not Hannah's first hockey game, she has been to a few of her dad's beer league games and we also went to a Bluejackets game over Thanksgiving.Since it is New Years Eve, the eve of the new year I feel obligated to get a few pictures and stories posted that I have been slacking on since our move. During our move I misplaced the cord that connects our camera to our computer therefore I have not been able to post any of our pictures from Thanksgiving, Santa Claus, Christmas at the Zoo and Christmas!! So here is a summary and TONS of pictures (disclaimer...on my list of things to get is photoshop so some of the pictures need some work!)

You have seen pictures of Turkey day with my family in Columbus but if you remember we moved over Thanksgiving so we actually spent the first part of Thanksgiving weekend at The Dodge's...

Last year Hannah was itty-bitty for Christmas so we didn't take her to see Santa Clause, but this year Grandpa and Grandma took her to breakfast with Santa...

In case you were wondering, it didn't go so well!!!

Along with Christmas comes lots of fun activities such as Christmas at the zoo, we were fortunate enough to find a decent evening and go to Christmas at the Zoo...

Although Hannah wasn't a fan of Santa, it did not stop him from visiting and bringing lots of gifts!

Happy New Year to everyone!! Looking forward to creating lots of fun memories in 2010!

    Presents....

This was the first Christmas that things had to be put together.
Grandma Dodge got this awesome kitchen put together.

Chuck got motivated and put together Christmas presents, oh and leftover birthday presents.

I think she likes her rocking chair!

I really don't want Christmas vacation to end.

    Merry Christmas

Well, it wasn't Hannah's first Christmas but it was the first Christmas she could "ooh" and "aaah" at lights and presents and we did alot of that today! Today was a wonderful relaxing day spent in Cincinnati at my moms. Hannah had a blast but still doesn't really understand Christmas....that did not stop Santa! We have lots of great pics that I will post later but for now......Merry Christmas!

    Saying goodbye....

I posted the other day about selling our home....as happy as it makes me to move on and into hopefully a bigger house, it was very sad to leave our Broad Ripple home. It was our first home, it was the home we came home to after we got married and it was the home we brought Hannah home to after leaving the hospital, where she took her first steps and had her first birthday.... So many happy memories there! Chuck was the last one to leave the house after getting all of our things out of it and he was nice enough to take a few photos with his phone for me....

    Moving on...

Well, I haven't blogged in a while, but I have a really good excuse. I am going to start from the beginning...

September 2nd Chuck and I put our home up "For Sale By Owner", probably not the easiest thing to do with a 1 year old but we realized that we were quickly out growing our wonderful (but small!!) Broad Ripple home and by next year we would really want a bigger one. So we figured, put it up on our own, hopefully get some great feedback on things to work on over the winter then put it up with a realtor in the spring and if it sells now that would just be a bonus. Well, 7 week later, it sold!!! We had less than 30 days to pack up our home that we had been in for 5 years and move out.

We really hadn't expected our house to sell therefore we hadn't even begun to look for a new house. So with Hannah's first birthday and Thanksgiving fast approaching we talked to Chuck's parents and they agreed to let us takeover their home for a bit!

So....that is what we have done...Monday Novemeber 30th we officially became homeless, Chuck, Hannah and I loaded up the truck with our bedrooms to take to Chuck's parents and then we loaded up the truck a second (and third) time for storage. It's been 10 days, we are still not settled and I still cannot find everything(the main reason for no pictures...need the cord to attached the camera and computer...wonder where that is!?!?), but we are very thankful to have a great place to stay while we are homeless and Hannah is having a blast with 2 doggies and grandparents around all the time!

    Happy Turkey Day!

Well, it wasn't Hannah's first Turkey Day but it was the first one she could enjoy and she did!

We spent a great Turkey Day with the Dodge side of the family....Judy, Russ, Stephanie, Dave, Amy and of course Rudy and Roxy. Then Chuck and I piled in the car early Friday morning to head to Columbus and enjoy the Spencer side of the family. It is never a dull moment with either of these crews and Hannah was exhausted by the time the fun holiday weekend was over. It was so great to see everyone, I just wish we could do it more often!

I need more pictures from all the fun so if you have them please send them my way!

    1 Year Doctors appointment...

Yesterday we went to Hannah's 1 year doctors appointment. It was great because I got to leave work early and go get her, not so great for her because she had to get 3 shots. The doctor says Hannah looks great, here are her stats!
    Age: 1 Year
    Weight: 23 lbs (75%)
    Height: 30 in (75%)
    Head: 18 1/2 in (95%)

Hannah is home sick today, she had a bit of a temperature when she woke up this morning, could be a side effect from the shots but if she does have something I don't want her to share it with the other kids at daycare. So her and Daddy are hanging out at home, hopefully packing!!

    Happy Birthday Hannah!!

I cannot believe that it has been a whole year!! Hannah Jane turned 1 year old yesterday!! It is amazing all the things she has accomplished just during her first year and we had a huge Winter One-derland Party to celebrate!

Hannah woke up to lots of snowflakes on the ceiling and a big bright package waiting for her from Mom and Dad. It took her a few minutes to figure out what she was supposed to do with it, but she finally got into it and and found her new chair!!

Grammy was in town helping out, so once we got the chair opened we dug into this nice big bag of pink tissue paper to find Hannah's very first backpack!

We opened a few more gifts, including this fantastic coat from Grandpa and Grandma Nancy, then we relaxed and got ready for the big bash!
So many people came to help us celebrate the big day....fortunately it was a gorgeous day so once everyone arrived we headed outside to destroy a pinata and run around a bit before presents and cake.

Hannah is a very lucky little girl and got so many great presents for her birthday....you can barely see her in all the tissue paper!

A first birthday party would not be complete without a little cake smashing....she started off a little tentatively but once she got a taste of the icing the cake didn't stand a chance!

You also can't have a 1st Birthday without a birthday princess!! Not necessarily the most graceful princess you have ever seen but I might argue she is the cutest!

Anyways, the whole day was fun and flew by, kind of like this last year. Happy Birthday baby girl, we love you so much and can't believe how lucky we are to have you in our lives!
