Turning 30....
As I have stated previously, 2010 seems to be bringing a lot of change for the Dodge family! Selling our home, starting a new job and many other things seem to be on the horizion for this year, all of which seem great except for the fact that Chuck and I also will turn 30. I am not sure how I feel about this and fortunately I have a little while to soak it all in, but Chuck and many of our friends have either already hit that milestone or will be shortly.
Like Chuck and I most of our friends have a ton going on in their lives and are also scattered around the country, staying in touch is tough enough and everyone getting together is almost impossible. All that being said, I got together with a couple of the other wives to throw all the guys a "Surprise 30th Birthday Bash"! A few of the boys knew what was going on, mainly due to the fact that they had to hop on a plane to partake in the festivities of the weekend but a few including Chuck had no idea what was in store for the weekend. So we put Matt and Chuck in the car and sent them towards Dayton with no other instructions. 15 minutes into their trip they received a call from Ashley instructing them to open the glove box and to pull out thier intinerary. The weekend included, a nice dinner, a couple of alumni houses, a Flyers basketball game, couple trips to BW's, couple trips to Tim's, a trip to the bookstore, a drive around campus, lots of reminising, a keg, and of course A LOT of college beer drinking! I think all the boys had a wonderful time, it was so fun to see everyone and we were very happy that all the hard work we put into the weekend paid off! Thank you to all the girls who spent time planning this fun weekend.
